Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison's Album Launch Fills The Grace With Riotous Energy

On the 21st of October, Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison rocked The Grace in Islington. Celebrating the launch of their new album, Everything’s Affected, the band played to a packed audience in the small, intimate venue. The space was filled with their raucous sound and chaotic punk energy. The Grace’s small size allows for direct artist-to-audience interactions during shows, and Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison took full advantage of this fact during their set. Members of the band hopped into the center of the large mosh pit that had formed and somehow managed to continue playing impressively while simultaneously moshing. If this wasn’t impressive enough, band members also crowd surfed while playing their instruments in mid-air.

This was an impressive show put on by a promising band. Though they are still gaining their footing on the road to stardom, Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison are starting to get the recognition that they deserve. As their album launch show at The Grace proved, they know how to work a crowd. Furthermore, I feel as though their energy is best suited for a smaller, more intimate venue such as The Grace. It is here that Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison’s raw energy was truly able to shine, and it is well worth seeing the band play live now before they inevitably explode and can only be seen playing much larger venues.
